It is celebration time! Valley County will commemorate 100 years on February 25th and 26th with a fabulous lineup of events stretching from county line to county line.

Torchlight ceremonies and activities for the whole family are planned for Saturday, February 25th:

Bonfire Lighting – Bonfires will be lit in the following communities as the torchbearers converge on Cascade, Idaho

  • 3:00 p.m. Yellowpine, Idaho at the Community Center with local celebration – Torchbearer: Commissioner Bill Willey
  • 5:00 p.m. Warm Lake, Idaho North Shore Lodge with local celebration
  • 6:00 p.m. McCall, Idaho at Centennial Plaza with local celebration – Torchbearers: IDPR officials Keith Hobbs and Tammy Kolsky
  • 7:00 p.m. Donnelly, Idaho at Hunter’s Meadow with local celebration
  • 6:30 p.m. Smiths Ferry, Idaho at Chapel in the Pines with local celebration – Torchbearer: Commissioner Elt Hasbrouck
  • 8:00 p.m. Cascade, Idaho near American Legion

After the lighting of the Cascade bonfire, festivities will continue at the Cascade American Legion from 8pm – 10pm.  Enjoy an evening of…

  • S ‘mores over the bonfire
  • Cake
  • Live Music
  • Dancing
  • Hot beverages available and other drinks to purchase from the American Legion

On Sunday, February 26th the party continues with the “Official Valley County Celebration” at the Roxy Theater in Cascade, Idaho (1:30pm – 4pm):

  • Replay of Winter Carnival
  • Cascade Rambler Band and Choir singing and playing 100 year-old songs
  • Skit by the Cascade Rambler Drama Department
  • Slide show depicting 100-years of Valley County
  • Words from our centenarians (or almost)
  • And more!
