The town of Warren was established in 1862 when gold was discovered and it is the 5th oldest town in Idaho. The Chinese population was around 1,300 in the 1870’s. They placer mined and farmed around Warren. In the 1930’s the Dredges came and stayed until 1941, when mining was halted because of the war. One of the original dredges is accessible to visit today out at The Dredge Ponds. Read more Warren history on our website and see the historical artifacts collection at The Baum Shelter.
We hope to see you in Warren soon!
