The Pulitzer prize winning novel presents separate stories of two young characters, a blind and capable French girl and a brilliant and uncertain German boy during World War II. The narrative slowly weaves parallel themes such as self-reliance, survival, possession, science, nature, family, and more — all in the time of war. Did you know this book was partially written in the McCall Library? Books are available at the McCall Library while supplies last and for purchase at The Barn Owl Books.
