McCall Arts and Humanities Cabin Fever presents: Swing Dance Class with music by Merchants of Groove and instruction from Marge Dobie. Classes will be held on Thursday, April 6th & 13th and Sunday, April 16th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. $50/person, $75/couple

Find yourself sitting and watching while others dance the night away? This class is for you! It will be an introduction to basic swing dancing to a variety of music, played by a local favorite band Merchants of Groove. Students will be offered the basic steps to both Country Swing and East Coast Swing. Both have essential step elements with lots of fun partner interactions and turns. The goal is to get everyone comfortable with getting out on a dance floor anywhere anytime.

Marge Dobie’s partner dance experience goes back decades. She studied, performed and competed in ballroom dancing and has enjoyed other forms of social dancing for many years, especially Argentine tango. This year Marge will be offering beginner swing dance lessons. She’ll be serving up a taste of East Coast Swing and Country Swing. Hope to see the former Argentine tango enthusiasts back out on the dance floor!
