There is a special tree at Rotary Park in McCall. The large Ponderosa Pine provides a unique glimpse into the lives and diets, of the Indigenous peoples that called McCall home.
On Saturday, September 25, beginning at 10am at Rotary Park, Nez Perce Cultural Resources Program Director Nakia Williamson will provide a free outdoor public presentation on the importance of cambium bark peeling to the Indigenous peoples of North America.
This presentation hosted by the City of McCall Historic Preservation Commission and is provided free to the public thanks to a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council, the state-based partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Rotary Park is located at 333 W. Lake Street in McCall.
