(McCall, ID| 2/12/20) Mountainfilm on Tour brings a collection of short films that are culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado. The tour will soon visit Cascade and McCall for a two-day festival.  The selection of films will explore the themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.


The festival kicks off on Sunday, March 8 at the ROXY with a matinee and raffle.  Doors open at 2:00 pm show begins @ 3:00 pm.  The festival continues the following evening, Monday, March 9 with a prefunction (join us for music & merriment – no host bar & snacks) at the McCall Golf Clubhouse/Banyons on the Green from 5:00-6:30 pm.  Alpine Playhouse doors open at 6:00pm show begins at 7:00 pm/raffle at intermission.  RAFFLE PRIZES INCLUDE:  Weekend in Boise, Day Trip on the Selway, Lochsa, or Clearwater with a night of glamping, YETI coolers, Tamarack Lift Tickets, Patagonia products and much more!


Tickets for Mountainfilm go on sale Friday February 14, 2020 and can be purchased online at:    $15 ADULT/$20 at door    $10 STUDENT/$15 at door (students must show ID)

Tickets will be available the day of the event at the theater box offices (if not sold out prior to event).

ABOUT Mountainfilm Festival – Telluride, CO – Memorial Weekend

Mountainfilm began in 1979 and is one of America’s longest-running film festivals. The festival is best described by one word: inspiring. In addition to screening leading independent documentary films from around the world, the festival includes a full-day symposium on a contemporary issues, art and photography exhibits, early morning coffee talks, outdoor programs, a book-signing party, an ice cream social, student programs and a closing picnic/awards ceremony. Presentations and panels are scheduled throughout the weekend event with a wide diversity of special guests, ranging from artists to adventurers and academics to activists. ABOUT Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation

Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation, established in 2006, is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to on-the-ground stewardship of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and surrounding wildlands. Projects include trail maintenance, invasive weed eradication, inventory and mapping, restoration, trash removal, wilderness education, and training future wilderness leaders.
