On April 29th, the core paddlers of “The Grand Salmon Source to
Sea” expedition embarked from the high alpine forest of the Sawtooth mountains, into the iconic Frank Church River of No Return wilderness on a paddling mission down the longest salmon run in the lower 48 states. Along with the spring chinook and other threatened anadromous fish species in the Salmon River drainage, the women began their 1,000 mile migration path out to the Pacific Ocean.
