Start your evening with a delicious multi-course meal of BBQ beef at the Senior Center, then make your way to the library’s community room for an hour-long Veterans History Project film featuring the career of retired Lieutenant Colonel Linda K. Fleetwood.

The film chronicles her trailblazing 25-year military career, which included Operation Just Cause in Panama, becoming the first female to attend the British Explosive Ordnance Disposal school, and serving as the world’s first female officer to command an all-male EOD detachment. Following active duty, she served 21 years as a Special Agent for the U.S. State Department. The Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa recently honored Fleetwood.
