A Family-Friendly Winter Carnival Scavenger Hunt

Add a little adventure to your Winter Carnival week with Find Sharlie, a fun, self-guided scavenger hunt that invites families and visitors to explore McCall while supporting local businesses.

From February 2–5, 2026, Sharlie—our friendly lake “monster”—will be hiding out in participating shops around town. Your mission? Track her down, collect stamps, and discover all the unique places that make McCall special, especially during the quieter midweek days of Carnival.

How to Play

1. Pick up a Find Sharlie Passport at Barn Owl Books.
2. Visit participating local businesses and search for the hidden Sharlie plushie.
3. Collect signatures and small prizes at each stop.
4. Once you’ve found 8 Sharlies, head to the McCall Area Chamber office
   (605 N. 3rd Street) to enter the raffle.
5. Raffle winner drawn February 8, 2026!

Prizes

One lucky participant will win:

• A Sharlie plushie, and
• A signed copy of Discovering Sharlie by local author Craig Vroom
