Join us on Saturday, November 9th for a local author signing with Laura Jenski! Laura writes mysteries, suspense, and humor. Before entering the world of fiction writing she wrote non-fiction (scientific research articles, book chapters, research grant proposals) as a university professor. She earned her PhD in oncology from the University of Wisconsin and completed postdoctoral training in immunology. For reasons that are mysteries unto themselves she chose to enter univeristy administration (“the dark side”) and served as a university vice-president for nine years.

Eighteenth and Western is upmarket book club fiction. It tells the stories of three women, each in a different era – 1920, 1970, and present day – struggling for rights and fulfillment. Their situations are dissimilar, but their lives are parallel. Eighteenth and Western is, at its core, an account of grandmothers and granddaughters and the strength, suffering, and resilience passed down through generations.
