Welcome to Middletown, a perfectly normal, small American town known for its excellent clouds and “mostly silent” nights. As a friendship develops between longtime resident John Dodge – local handyman and neurotic oddball – and Mary Swanson – a new arrival with a mysteriously absent husband – the lives of the town inhabitants intersect in darkly funny and moving ways in a journey that takes them from the local library to outer space and points in between.

Please note that while “Middletown” is a dark comedy, the play explores topics that some viewers may be sensitive to, including depression and suicide – viewer discretion advised.
