ROOTS Trek to the North Pole

Dec 9, 2023 @ 10:00 am

Trek to the North Pole

Saturday, December 9

10am to 12pm (last trek will depart the Activity Center at 1145am)

Trek to the North Pole is held in Ponderosa State Park, hosted by the Park and Roots Forest School. This event is open to the public and encourages participants to get outside as a family and enjoy Ponderosa State Park in the winter while getting in the spirit of the holiday season. During the Trek, families make a half-mile journey through the forest with their guides – Roots alumni students and local master naturalists – following scavenger hunt clues to the park’s Fawn Cabin where Santa and his elf helper eagerly await them. All participants receive a professional photograph of their visit with Santa (provided digitally to participants). Snacks and warm drinks are provided to participants when they return to the park’s Activity Center and all children take home a free winter-themed book.
