Life In the Backcountry During the Transition: Idaho Primitive Area to Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness: An Evening with Ed Allen
Join McCall Field Campus (MOSS) at the Historic Dining Lodge for the Voices From the (Frank) Church Speaker Series!
Enjoy light refreshments and inspiring stories from our speaker, Ed Allen, along with associates who worked at Chamberlain Ranger Station in the 1970s and 80s.
Ed Allen began his career on the Payette National Forest in 1968 as a McCall Smokejumper. In 1972 he moved to Chamberlain and remained there until 1985, when Big Creek Ranger District merged with Krassel. After retirement as Fire Management Officer on the Council Ranger District in 1994, he has continued to volunteer with wilderness and front country projects on the forest.
