The West Central Mountains Economic Development Council is pleased to host our 7th annual Regional Economic Summit this fall at a BRAND NEW location at Tamarack Resort! Please join us Monday, November 4th for this once a year, all-day event! This year’s theme is “cultivating rural resilience” and registration and sponsorship is NOW OPEN! Last year, we took a survey of attendees and we listened to your feedback to rotate the location throughout the region. For the very first time, we are excited to host our summit at Tamarack Resort’s Arling Center, with a concluding social networking event onsite as well. Tamarack Resort is also offering attendees a 20% discount on lodging (https://tamarackidaho.com/lodging).
The summit planning team is lining up a dynamic day of networking, guest speakers, resource connecting, & attendee engagement that includes important topics such as:
– Release of our regional housing needs assessment results
– Sustainable recreation panel
– Resiliency training with Boise State University’s Hazard Climate Resilience Institute that includes facilitated group exercises and participation
– High-level overview of regional planning initiatives
– City of Cascade’s exciting geothermal expansion project
– Workforce efforts & more
This will be a day of celebrating what we are doing in the areas of planning, resiliency, and sustainability, and looking to the future of where we want to go to ensure our success. Full agenda will be announced soon!
