2020 Volunteer Needs

Winter Carnival Ambassadors (10-20 volunteers per day): Be the face of Winter Carnival! Mingle with the crowd and help answer questions for our visitors!

**The Ambassador Program may be able to help sponsor your non profit as a fundraising effort. Email us at wintercarnival@mccallchamber.org for details.

  • Friday, January 24th, 5pm – 8pm
  • Saturday, January 25th, 11am – 2pm, 2pm – 5pm
  • Saturday, February 1st, 11am – 2pm, 2pm – 5pm

Depot Park Team (2-3 volunteers per night):

Point person for ensuring the safety of park guests. Tasks include managing the bonfire, monitoring trash receptacles, spreading sand and straw on slick areas, helping bands unload/load on the main stage, assisting with fireworks barricades on January 25th and February 2nd. **This would be a great opportunity for a business to meet and mingle with the community and represent your company!

  • Friday, January 24th, 5pm – 9pm
  • Saturday, January 25th, 2pm – 9pm (can take breaks and leave periodically)
  • Friday, January 31st, 5pm – 9pm
  • Saturday, February 1st, 2pm – 9pm (can take breaks and leave periodically)

Fireworks Barricade Setup (3 volunteers per night):

Set up tape perimeter in advance of each fireworks show. Usher visitors out of the fireworks perimeter and monitor walkway barricades.

  • Friday, January 24th, 6pm-7pm
  • Saturday, February 1st, 6pm-7pm

Torchlight Parade (3 volunteers):

Hand out parade bags and toys to the kids, serve snacks and help organize the lineup at parade time.

  • Friday, January 24th, 5pm – 6:30pm

Mardi Gras Parade Lineup Chair (1 volunteer): FILLED

Point person for the day-of Mardi Gras parade lineup.

  • Saturday, January 25th 10am – 12:30pm

Mardi Gras Parade Lineup (5 volunteers):

Reports to the Parade Lineup Chair – help get all of the entries lined up for the parade!

  • Saturday, January 25th 10am – 12:30pm

Mardi Gras Parade Sharlie Crew (7-10 volunteers): FILLED

Dance your way down the parade route carrying Sharlie!
  • Saturday, January 25th 11am – 1:30pm

Party Bingo (2 volunteers each shift): FILLED

Help with setup, door sales, spotters during games, cleanup

  • Tuesday, January 28th 4pm – 5pm (setup)
  • Tuesday, January 28th 6pm– 9pm (bingo)

Grand Bingo:

Help with setup, door sales, spotters during game, cleanup

Wednesday, January 29th 2pm – 4pm (setup) (3 volunteers)  |  Wednesday, January 29th 5pm – 9pm (bingo) (5 volunteers)
