Leadership Academy is currently accepting applications.
These emerging and existing leaders will be educated and challenged as to the needs and potential of the community in addition to the dynamics of social and economic challenges.

Through the experience, a “can do” attitude emerges, which aids in providing common ground for working on present and future community projects.

The continued growth of the West Central Mountains, which includes Cascade, Donnelly, McCall and New Meadows, signals the need for trained, informed and responsible leaders. The West Central Mountains Leadership Academy is seeking individuals who are interested in developing their skills as leaders, increasing their knowledge of our community, and exploring what their role can be in actively participating in community affairs.

How It Works
How It Works

The first year of the Leadership Academy will begin in late 2024 (Oct.-Dec.) with a team retreat. Dates TBD. This will serve as an orientation, getting to know your classmates and a general overview of what is to come. The Academy will be held in day-long monthly sessions from October through June followed by a Group Service Project during July and August. The Service Project will be presented during a Graduation Ceremony for the participants and an Induction Ceremony for the incoming class the following September.

The second year of the program is for you to plan, coordinate and execute the program for the new class. You will serve as Mentors to the new group as well as participating in the monthly sessions that you are a part of planning.

Participants and their organizations must be willing to commit one day per month to the program. Those selected will participate in the required activities during the first and second years. Class size will be limited to no more than 15 participants and selected through an application process.

The monthly sessions are broad areas of focus in order to explore many parts of that particular subject and its relationship to the principles of leadership. Through experiential learning you will immerse yourself in our area while listening to professionals in their fields and engage in hands-on activities that bring the topics to life.
