City of Cascade- Your Destination for FUN!

Cascade is situated well within the boundaries of the great mountainous, alpine-forested region that stretches from the upper boundaries of the Great Basin nearly to the Arctic Circle. With an average of slightly more than two persons per square mile, it is easy to see that there are vast, wide-open spaces to enjoy the activities the area has to offer. The economy of the Lake Cascade Recreation Area has been recognized as a superb location for recreation, sports and simply “getting away from it all.” Employment opportunities in the area are therefore varied and run the gamut from ranching, logging and National Forest positions to many choices in health care, recreation and visitor services, retail and other small business opportunities.

Valley County is a rural county located in west central Idaho in the United States. Established in 1917, it was named after the Long Valley of the North Fork of the Payette River, which extends over 30 miles from Payette Lake at McCall south to Cascade to Round Valley. The population was 9,862 at the 2010 census. The county seat is Cascade, and the largest city is McCall.

The community has embraced its role as the starting point for many of the activities that draw people to the region. As with the entire area, Cascade offers year-round attractions and activities. In general, residents of the area make the most of all four seasons and plan activities and celebrations that highlight the best features of each.

Cascade’s extensive events calendar provides plenty of proof of the community’s appeal. The town has a variety of housing accommodations and an array of services designed to assist visitors to make the most of the area’s attractions.
