Get Ready to Mardi Gras!

The highlight of the McCall Winter Carnival is almost here! The Parade is a Mardi Gras-style celebration that calls all carnival-goers to enjoy a long procession of local performers and community floats as they make their way through town. Take a look at the parade route below and start planning your perfect viewing spot! The Mardi Gras Parade will be on Saturday, February 7, 2026!

DEADLINES TO KNOW

The Winter Carnival Committee will review and approve applications weekly. The application deadline is January 19, 2026. Qualifying entries will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis until we fill the 30-entry maximum.

Entries on the waiting list will be notified regarding approval by January 23.

FAQ

The parade will be limited to 30 entries.

Political entries are not accepted at this time.

Please include details on how you will be decorating your float/entry in your application, as decorations are required. Entries without decorations will not be accepted. We encourage entries to follow the Winter Carnival theme and/or have Mardi Gras themed decorations.

Only single-wrapped candy may be distributed. Candy CANNOT be thrown and must be handed directly to spectators. Beads or small promotional items can be handed out as well. We suggest assigning an individual(s) to walk alongside your float to hand out items to the crowd.

10-11am: Set up near Mission Street (McCall Donnelly High School or Forest Service Office)

12pm: Parade begins from Stibnite St

1pm: Floats will arrive back to Mission St

For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, we require all parade participants to agree to the following candy distribution guidelines: Only single-wrapped candy may be distributed. Candy CANNOT be thrown and should be handed directly to spectators. By participating in the parade, you acknowledge and agree to follow these guidelines. Liability Release(Required)
I, for myself and for all of the people involved in this parade entry, hereby release the McCall Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau and the City of McCall, Idaho of liability incurred from loss or damage to persons or property in connection with the parade and further agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Chamber, its Officers and Directors, the Winter Carnival committees and the City of McCall from any claims for damage.
This parade application will be reviewed by the Winter Carnival committee. Submitting this application is not an automatic approval of entry.
