The Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation helps to maintain and restore access to Wilderness (forest service) lands in Central Idaho and SW Montana. Some of these landscapes like just to the East of McCall (The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness). We do this through volunteers and paid crews working on the ground in partnership with the forest service. We have full-time employees in Boise, Missoula, and McCall. The executive director, Ryan Ghelfi, lives in McCall.

We do community events here in McCall, including an event called Mountain Film (a fundraiser for our organization). We have donors, supporters, and some of our field operations in the summer based in McCall.
