From Ponderosa State Park to the Harshman Skate Park, the iconic “Bearing Wall” at Art Robert’s Park to the splash fountain at Legacy Park, our community spaces highlight the best parks of McCall.
At Ponderosa State Park families can camp, picnic, hike, cycle, mountain bike, play volleyball and horseshoes, swim, fish, and watch for wildlife. When the snow falls, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are popular activities.
Lake Cascade State Park offers yurt camping, nine developed campgrounds, two dispersed camping areas, several day use areas, six boat launch ramps, water sports, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking.
Best known as the home of the “Bearing Wall,” a popular photo op, this park also features a municipal dock, grassy slope, beach on Payette Lake and a paver patio for small concerts, picnics and gatherings.
Built where the former McCall Mill was located, Brown Park features a shoreline path, picnic tables, benches and playground equipment.
Located in downtown McCall, Centennial Plaza commemorates McCall’s 100th anniversary as a community, established July 19th, 1911. This beautiful mosaic displays McCall’s past historical events. Citizens or visitors can purchase a brick to celebrate, commemorate, or dedicate in honor of a loved one or a special event.
This quiet beach area is a favorite with families and a perfect place to dip your toes in Payette Lake.
The 9-hole Disc Golf Course is a 10 acre Nature Area located just south of the McCall-Donnelly High School along the bike path. The natural forested area and terrain makes this course moderate in difficulty but should appeal to novice and well versed players alike. Keep an eye out for the resident mule deer herd that likes to frequent the area.
Community baseball diamonds welcome a friendly game of kickball or local softball tournament. New playground equipment and shade sails provide ample entertainment for the kids. Gold Glove Park is also home to several fairs and festivals throughout the year.
Designed by the Tony Hawk Foundation, the Skate Park features concrete bowls with coping, fun boxes, and plenty of ledges and rails to grind. A new pump park has been added for BMX riders or young riders fine tuning their mountain bike skills.
The centerpiece of downtown McCall! Legacy Park includes a volleyball court, picnic tables, beach, enclosed swimming area, amphitheater, pathways for walking and biking, splash fountain, and public boat ramp.
Riverfont Park offers excellent opportunities for fishing along a scenic nature trail following the meanders of the North Fork Payette River. Located slightly off the beaten path, Riverfront Park receives less traffic than other parks with plenty of room to roam and catch a few fish.
Rotary Park is great for families—the beach and playground facilities provide excellent recreational opportunities. There is a grassy patch, public restrooms, picnic tables and a swimming beach…not to mention an excellent view of Payette lake!
In commemoration of the McCall area veterans & those individuals who have served in the military, a war memorial & brick pathway is proudly positioned in Community Park. Located on the corner of the park & adjacent to the war memorial is the old McCall jail, which is currently being restored. Both landmarks are of historical & cultural significance to the people of McCall.
McCall’s newest park and first sensory trail! Wild Horse Park is a small neighborhood pocket park featuring a native plant garden, wildlife habitat trees, and firewise landscaping. A great place to relax in the shade and take in all things wild.
